Kappa Cephei, Latinized from κ Cephei, is a binary star[11] in the constellation Cepheus. Its apparent magnitude is 4.39.

Located approximately 100 parsecs (330 ly) distant, the primary is a blue giant of spectral type B9III. The secondary is a main sequence star of spectral type A7V. It has an apparent magnitude of 8.34 and lies 7.38 arc seconds distant. A third star of 10th magnitude, BD+77 763, is listed as component C in the Washington Double Star Catalog although it is a background object unrelated to the other two.[12]
