2MASS J15074769-1627386, or 2MASS 1507-1627 for short, is a brown dwarf located the constellation Libra, separated 23.9 light-years from the Sun and Earth. It was discovered in the year 2000, thanks to I. Neill Reid et al. It belongs to the spectral class L5, giving it a surface temperature between 1300 to 2000 degrees Kelvin. As with other brown dwarfs of spectral type L, its spectrum is dominated by metal hydrides and alkali metals.
